Physical Testing

The design, make, test and iterate process is a recognised method to develop a new product. Our team have the resources to design something in CAD, make the part in-house, then test to see how the part or product performs. We take any opportunity to build a ‘test rig’ to gain valuable insights to inform our design process.

We proactively invest in test equipment, expanding our capability to test in-house, avoiding involving test houses too early in the process, saving our clients time and money.

Structural Testing

We can push and pull a product to failure to understand exactly where failure occurs and why it happens.

Thermal Testing

Our thermal imaging technology allows us to see temperature and how it is dissipated throughout a product, allowing us to design out hotspots.

Environmental Testing

We can accurately create extreme temperatures and humidities to understand how a product performs.

Life cycle Testing

Fatigue is often overlooked. We have the skillset to build bespoke test rigs to stress a product thousands of times to the point of failure so we understand how fatigue impacts the products we design.

Track Testing

We design automotive products so have invested in our own test vehicle allowing us to test new products we are designing in the controlled environment of a test track.

Wind Tunnel Testing

Although Computational Fluid Dynamics (computer simulations) give a prediction on how a part might react to airflow, there is nothing better than physical testing. We have access to some of the leading wind tunnels in the UK to test and validate a design.
