Acoustic Testing

Although our physical testing facilities provide the team with deep insights into how and when a product fails, sometimes more context is needed to understand the lead-up to failure.

We have the capability to digitally capture sound as a product goes through the physical testing process. Specialist audio post-processing software allows us to ‘see the sound’ and spot when the product begins to change in behavior. Data can be extracted allowing trends to be spotted helping our team to identify how a product wears.

Studio Quality Audio Recording

We have a range of studio quality mics and digital mixing desks allowing us to record multiple sound inputs simultaneously.

Spectrum Analysis

Listening back to an audio file gives a limited insight into what is happening. Using our specialist analysis software allows us to spot the smallest of changes in the way a part is behaving.

Resonant Frequency Analysis

All products have a natural frequency which means if exposed to a certain vibration the product can literally fall apart. Understanding the vibration the product will likely encounter enables our engineers to design the product to withstand its intended use.
