Background

JNDC identified that standard lighting solutions used in the maintenance industry were not ideal for work in confined areas. The industry was in need of a product to replace cumbersome torches and inspection lights which could allow users to go about their work hands free.

Development

JNDC worked with several maintenance companies to develop the idea of using a flexible lighting product.  Many prototypes were developed, and the final product offered the user a simple, easy method of installing the flexible LED lighting strip into virtually any assembly.

Solution

JNDC trademarked the product Lineglow and packaged the product within a tough Peli explorer case to produce a self contained portable unit that is suitable for battery and mains usage. JNDC developed the marketing and branding of Lineglow. The revolutionary lighting system was successfully launched to the public at the 2010 Maintenance, Repair and Operations show in London.
