KT Construction has been a family-run business for over 40 years, led by founder Tony Hancock. Over the years, Tony kept running into the same frustrating issue on site: getting his team to add the right amount of water to cement mixes. It was inconsistent, messy, and often led to costly rework.

Determined to fix it, Tony developed a simple tool—AquaMix—to make the process quicker, cleaner, and more reliable. It worked so well within his team that he and his son, Keanu, saw an opportunity to take it further. They believed it could help other builders too. But turning a homemade solution into a market-ready product isn’t straightforward. Their patent attorney, familiar with JNDC’s track record, suggested we could help bring the product to market.

At JNDC, we specialise in taking smart ideas and making them ready for manufacture. We reviewed the AquaMix prototype and saw real potential—but also areas that needed development for wider production. We re-engineered the design for durability, compliance, and ease of manufacture. Working with our UK-based moulding partner, BEC, we refined the clamp design, sourced the right materials, and ensured the steel pipe could be formed to precise standards.

Throughout the process, we worked closely with Tony and Keanu—providing both engineering input and strategic support. We managed the technical development, prototyping, and testing, while also designing packaging, setting up the supply chain, and overseeing UK-based production.

When AquaMix launched on TikTok Shop, it gained over 17,000 views within hours, triggering interest from both the trade and retailers. Rebranded as CemixFlo, the product is now saving time and improving consistency on building sites, with a practical design built for real-world use.
